Hard to believe it’s Fall.

but made it my own.

hopefully everything will get checked off!

Here’s to Fall 2011

a weekend with out Saints football

.weird.

sticky….gooey… yummy….. {easy} sticky buns!

Finally I had some time in the kitchen.

{25 minutes}

I usually slave away

making dough from scratch.

kneading.

waiting for the dough to rise.

etc.

After a week of wanting

something gooey, sticky, and yummy.

A Co-worker and I came up with a solution.

Trader Joe’s Pizza Crust.

I wasn’t too sure how they would turn out.

I rolled the dough out.

spread the butter, sugar, & cinnamon.

rolled & cut them.

prepared the gooey, yummy, stickiness.

baked.

Success.

I had multiple people ask for the recipe.

{I don’t measure, so these are guesses}

Sticky, gooey, yummy, {easy} sticky buns

1 package of TJ’s {trader joe’s} pizza dough

butter, sugar, & cinnamon.

ingredients for sticky, gooey, yumminess.

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup of honey

1/4 cup butter

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

nuts {walnuts or pecans}

Instructions

1. roll out pizza dough, slather with butter

2. sprinkle brown sugar, sugar, & cinnamon

{you can use other spices too, nutmeg?}

3.  roll dough & cut into “cinnamon rolls”

4. in a sauce pan bring all sticky, gooey, yummy  ingredients to a boil.

5. into a 9x9 pan or circle pan pour the yumminess into it and add nuts.

6. then add rolls to the sauce.

7. bake at 400* for 20 minutes.

8. flip over onto a plate.

9. try not to eat too many.

10. enjoy

dance.

Who wouldn’t when there is a

bounce.slide.

{sign me up}

After a long day of faculty meetings on

Friday.

Friday night = no football.

Game is TODAY!

{Go Saints}

I we took full advantage.

Fall like weather.

hubs.

chokie.

movie.

hot chocolate in hand.

{My F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E.}

only thing missing a fireplace.

Well, here’s to week 3!

Saints kick off at 3p.m.

Football & Hollywood?

We took a little impromptu trip to

Hollywood

{saturday}

we went a scouted a team

the Saints play next.

{football, football, football}

We went with some friends

that had never been to

Hollywood.

We decided to hit up

Hollywood Blvd.

the hubs and I had never been up there at night.

{it’s different…. way more crowded}

We enjoyed seeing the

Hollywood Sign

Kodak theater

 

The last stop:

CRUMBS

{I have a minor obsession with cupcake shops}

I’m not even a huge cupcake fan.

I just love all the different flavors!

To top off the win last night

this morning we woke up to

rolls of thunder and rain!

In the {3} years we’ve been here

this {might} have happened one other time.

A great thunderstorm was the .ONE. thing

I looked forward to when we visited

Colorado this past summer.

over a week in CO = No storms.

So Fall does not exist

this week in SoCal

When the hubster told me

he I was in charge for treats

for some of his students.

there was NO WAY the oven was coming on.

{we typically do not use A.C.}

So I went with the good old

no bake {some kind of} bar method.

Mellows.

a little {cooled} melted chocolate.

yesterday the Saints had their

first ever home football game

at Saints Stadium.

&

first ever football game

After the win

I was just thinking back through the

first two years.

God planned this day in history

along time ago.

He planned for the first victory to be

the first ever win at Saints Stadium.

…impromptu date night… instagram style…

so a minor wildfire shut down the interstate

the opposing team was traveling on

for yesterdays {suppose} to be football game.

:: postponed till today::

rarely with football season do we have an open

friday night.

we took full advantage

and then some.

loaded with

living social deals

&

groupons

we hit the OC in style

{almost} free date night style

beach.

tradition

{every time we go to Laguna Beach we get 2 pieces of taffy}

yummy food.

night drive

every date must end with fro yo!

perfect ending to a

L.O.N.G

week.

and a pretty darn good day!

Friday included my first

pumpkin.spice.latte.

of the Fall Season.

Off to {round two} of Crean Lutheran’s

first home football game!

Two exciting things just happened

yesterday & today.

I can’t believe yesterday was

the last day in August.

It was also Bentley’s Birthday!

It’s hard to believe she turned 3!

{remember: we do not have kids

so, YES, we are able to celebrate her birthday}

what more could a chorkie ask for?!

this year she was not having the candles.

{hence the picture of my two loves}

After the candles were out
