::Happy Halloween::

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Halloween is one of my
FAVORITE
holidays!
(maybe because I love the color orange)
But I LOVE HALLOWEEN and EVERYTHING it has to offer!
Costumes
Pumpkin seeds
Pumpkins
Orange
Candy
Parties
Cool crisp air
Although, I am ashamed this year.
we did NONE of the above...
Bentley got the most Halloween action this year.
Brett had some fun this weekend
at the USC/Oregon Game...
(i've been wanting to go since we've moved here)
I was EXTREMELY jealous
here is his documentary...
Next year Halloween WILL be...
DIFFERENT.
Menu Plan:
(I figured I would since we'll only eat like 2 nights together)
Sunday: Hamburgers and Potato Fries
Monday: ?? We're on our own
Tuesday: Ribs
Wednesday: Sloppy Joes!
Thursday: BD has a pasta dinner....
Friday: Football game...
Saturday:  SURPRISE!

...Hands Down...

So I already bragged about this on FB...
here it is now
(the detailed version).
I know I've been slacking on my
"Weekly Menus"
(I apologize Melissa that Aaron hasn't cooked in 3 months for you).
It's called
"FULL TIME JOB"
Not Really.
I have just been...
LAZY.
(in the kitchen)
I still cook every night
but it's a 20 minute before decision.
This week I decided to change that.
On deck
2 NEW Recipes this week.
Tonight's new recipe:
MEXICAN LASAGNA
(I wasn't too sure how it would turn out so, no 'action' shots, sorry!)
But here are the dets:
3/4 cup salsa
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
14.5 oz chili diced tomatoes
8 oz can tomato sauce
precooked lasagna noodles
1 cup corn
1 can black beans
mexican cheese
(I added taco meat to my lasagna)

What to do:
Mix the first 4 ingredients together.
Spread some sauce on the bottom of a pan.
( I used a 9x13)
arrange noodles over sauce,
top with 1/2 cup of corn and 1/2 can of beans
sprinkle with cheese,
top with sauce.
Layer noodles
top with the rest corn and the rest of beans
cover with the rest of the sauce
cover with cheese.
Cook at 350 for 30 minutes covered.
Uncover and cook 10 more minutes.

I promise this recipe will not disappoint.

...Couponing...

I have 3 things to update on...
My Best Friend's Wedding...
(Will come SOON)
W5G Craft Night...
(Stay tuned)
and
COUPONING...
(NOW)
While in Colorado for Amanda's wedding I got to catch up with some old friends.
It's fun to catch up and see how whatever one is up to since high school or college.
Just to see how far we've come and changed.
"I never would have thought you would be a coupon girl"
-My Friend Mike
It's true in High School I would never believe it either but
I AM.
We got to talking and I they asked for some tips.
So this is you guys.
Lisa (Tim)
Mike
Megan (Aaron)
and
anyone else who would care.

Top Ten things to know.
1.  It's not easy... It's like a scavenger hunt.
2. Have a resource to get coupons.
The Sunday paper can be investment.
To be a "true" couponer and get free things you need more than just one insert.
You can always find coupons online too.
There are even e-coupons (more about this later)
3. Coupon Blogs are your friend! I use typically 4 different blogs.
(while most of these at SoCal coupon blogs you can find any states)
(This site usually just has good freebies and deals)
(all the target steals, deals, and more)
(a site with great deals and information)
(this is for all you Colorado People)
4.  You need to learn the lingo and abbreviations.
5.  Be familiar with stores coupon policies.
Target- you can use 2 coupons on the same item if
one is a manufacture coupon and the other one is a Target coupon.
Some stores double or triple the coupon value up to a dollar
6.  Everyone has a different organization method.
7.  E-coupons can be uploaded to your "shopper" card
and be used with manufacture coupons.
8.  Grocery Store deals start on Wednesdays
Ads come in the mail on Tuesdays
9.  Google the store deals.
example "Albertsons deals 10/6"
I will get results for this weeks deals starting tomorrow.
10.  Even just using coupons can save you more and more money each month.

I'm no professional
but love to help.
Please ask away with questions.
Here are a few of my deals I've blogged about before:

Sorry to bore most of you..
Exciting updates to come!
