This week at school we had International Week.  Crean is a very diverse school with over 11 different nations represented.  This past we got to celebrate all those different cultures and end it with a BIG FEAST on Friday!

While I wasn't up to "par" on my cooking this week I did manage to make this. Don't worry Brett did get dinner every night, but mainly 'easy' things. (The picture does not do it justice).  It really was good.  Pizza crust, salsa, chicken with taco seasoning, black beans, corn, and cheese.... yummy.  I could eat Mexican EVERYDAY... I feel like every new recipe I see that I have to try is Mexican.  

This weekend we were able to have a friendly game of poker with our friends, Tim and Sally.  Not a big deal, but I won.  (This was my first winnings of my first paid poker game). 

Another busy week ahead of us.  We're ready.... I hope. So busy I have no new recipe to try and have to play it by ear for dinners AGAIN.  Ugh!

A little of this... some of that...

The first week back after spring break STINKS.... There is nothing else  to say about it... It's back to reality...  back to being tired... back to routine... While Brett and I both LOVE what we do... we LOVE our time together to do nothing or being able to so whatever we want... whenever we want.


This week was full of sports, practices, and evening naps....

This week I also started ZUMBA... I LOVE it... for those who are going huh? Zumba is a dance workout fitness thingy.  It's a BLAST... I'll be looking forward to Tuesday nights a lot more now.  Other highlights of the week include:  Bentley eating a chunk of my hair off (if you want to know... ask, but let's just say she was in BIG trouble), trying a new recipe = yummy, oh and this AWESOME shopping trip to Target... I haven't been updating you all on my coupon obsession lately, but I still have it.

16 cans of veggies (mainly green beans we're freaks!), 5 bananas, 2 Vaseline lotions,  body wash, deodorant, fruit chillers (I've been dying to try these), english muffins, single serving oatmeal, 6 travel size tides, and 4 reusable bags.

:: Spring Break Part II ::

Straight off the plane from Colorado I can't help but reminisce about...

Skating...
Traveling...
Les Patineurs...
Make-up... don't really miss, but part of skating
Precision... now Synchronized
Friendships...
The easy life....

Most of you reading this are thinking this sounds weird. The second part of my Spring Break was spent in Colorado Springs (yes, my hometown) because the 2010 World Synchronized Skating Championship were there.  Skating was my LIFE... my PARENTS life...

This weekend I was able to relive 'those' days.

After an AMAZING Spring Break it's back to reality... I think we're ready! Bentley is ready to sleep her days away... she soooooo excited for us to be gone.   My wonderful husband did a wonderful job holding down the 'fort' while I was gone.  So proud of him. He was able to enjoy golf... sleeping in... poker... and Bentley (of course).

:: Spring Break Part I ::

One of the many perks of being an educator.... SpRinG BrEaK!!!
Last year the schools we taught at didn't have a spring break... So... to have one back in AMAZING! It's a great time to hangout with my Love, family, friends, relax, have fun, do WhAtEVeR I WANT!!  We've had a busy first half of Spring Break...
1.  Hiking the 'Dreaded Hill' (Made me miss the Incline)!
2. Babysitting...aka get to go to the park and play... than play some more!
3. Celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord... Church with great Friends and... (Tenley... Yes, Tenley from the Bachelor was at the church we attended for Easter).  
4.  Yummy Easter dinner with the Family.... 
5.  Living and experiencing our first EaRThQuAkE... (One of the craziest feelings I have felt in a while!)
6. Sat in traffic for an hour on the 91....(5 hour+ car ride to Vegas)
7. Watching the National Championship with who knows how many other people in ESPNZone at New York, New York.
8.  Having a Fabulous mini-vaca with some great friends in Vegas....

While I would normally complain about how busy and tired we are.... I can't....
Yes, We've been busy....
Yes, I am tried, but...
I LOVE IT....
We LOVE it....
We've been busy with sports, banquets, school, friends, and family....
and wouldn't trade it for the WORLD!
So what if our laundry doesn't get done for 2 weeks....
So what if I don't get around to dusting for a week....two.... or three....
This is our busy life and we LOVE it.
