2 Weeks Till SpRiNG BrEaK....

(but who's counting?!)... ME... and anyone else with Spring Break coming up!
I got through my crazy insane sports week with three wins! Tennis went 2-0 and Softball went 1-3... First softball win EVER at Crean..... Now on to the next week.... Tennis, softball, and back to basketball for banquets... yes we have 2 this week....Boys and Girls....
A few things I learned this week:
1.)  I wouldn't go back to high school, but going back for 10 minutes made me miss my friends and the silly things we use to do.... Like....

2.) Anybody can Win.... Good thing I did not have Kansas winning tourney!
3.) I'm so bLesSeD.... by Him and him...(Yes, I know this, but it always seems to amaze me)!

 

4). If I can use coupons... Anybody can.... I hate to come on here week after week and tell you about my steals... I hate bragging (more than most things) and I hate gloating, but if I can do it anybody can!  My secrets aren't big... it's called.... Google.... for example today went to Target purchased the following:

:::Back to High School::::

For 10 minutes...

Today, Brett and I had the chance to go back to High School....While I would NEVER go back to high school even if someone paid me to.
I could do it for 10 minutes.  
Today was our Spring Prep Rally. 
Boys vs. Girls
Blue vs. Pink
So,why did Brett and I go back to High School? (you might ask).  Well, for the prep rally teachers were asked to dress and act as if they were in high school... The students came up with different scenarios that the teachers would act.  They first introduced us as the 'new students' at Crean.  We then competed boys vs. girls in different scenarios.... Girls Won.... Principal Beavers says...
Scenario #1.... The Walk....

BUSY... Busy... BUSY

First....

(not doing anything special, but felt like I had to write it since it's the 17th) 

Now on to the real (not so exciting) news... I am beat and it's only Wednesday... shucks! Coaching two sports in one season is not recommended (especially by me).  This week I have a match or game everyday!! (I Love what I do and I love the teams, but I'm just beat...) While, yes, I am complaining... I can't complain because the weather is in the 80's and it stays so so so nice at night!! One of my favorite things.... Warm summer spring nights in SoCal... Sorry, I'm excited I don't have to wait till the summer for those! 

I had a disaster in the kitchen last night.  For those who know me well... I'm pretty good when it comes to cooking or baking.... Last Night.... NOT the case.... Complete FAIL at a dinner attempt to make Lo Mien in the Crockpot.  Brett tried to be nice, but there was NOTHING nice about it... It wasn't even edible.... So in a scramble to cook something up for dinner... I chard the steaks and burnt the biscuits... WOW... was I glad once dinner was over... 

On a PoSitiVe note the Tennis team got their First Varsity WIN against a big public school 10-8.  It was a beautiful day for tennis and the boys played great awesome! 

Update on couponing.... I got paid to shop.... it's true 3 pennies dropped down the change thing.... Brett and I just laughed.... 

I just had an itch to write... I'll update with scores and more later....

Volleyball :: Baseball :: Golf :: Dance :: Hike :: and More...

Yes, our weekend!  
This weekend we were able to spend lots time outside. (Sorry, for those who are still stuck in the cold, snow, and rain).  
I felt like this weekend went by way too fast... Anyone else agree?!? While I'm grateful for the time with family, friends, and my hubby I just wish there was one....two.... a few more days.  We went to our first ever boys volleyball game... Boys volleyball is HUGE out here.... can't say that for Colorado or Nebraska... I had to 'work' the game... keep score... I did a fabulous job I might add.  The boys won! It was a great time.... 
Brett and My Uncle took home 1st place in a golf tournament this weekend... I guess that's what you get when you only place once in a blue moon.  So proud of both of them! I was able to see my cousins, Ben and Jack, play baseball and... win.... and I was able to hangout with my aunt and bake... is there anything better?! Brett and I got our groove on at the 'Disney Dance' at school... took a hike in the city... and now relaxing.... BREATHE....
The real news... it's going to be an even busier week!!!  Two tennis matches... Four softball games.... School.... Practices... and more.... Bring it on!  (I even have meals planned for the week).

Memories and a Lazy Day

This week has been pretty slow/fast... does that make any sense?  I'm only subbing 3 days this week so I've had sometime... While yesterday was spent cleaning, which was much needed.  I never knew a 750 square foot apartment could be so DiRtY... GROSS... 

Last night Brett and I went back to the 'good old days' of Seward, Nebraska.... I have been wanting Dragon Palace Orange Chicken for as long as I can remember... So.... I attempted to make it and let me tell you... Jerry (a worker at Dragon Palace when we use to go all the time) would be so proud of me.... or at least ask me to work there.  As I ate it I remembered the wonderful little town and started to miss my friends... But those memories have helped shape me into who I am today! 

Today was the lazy day.... After I thawed out from Tennis I got down to business... cutting coupons... it's a VERY messy job I've realized... 

I'm feeling overwhelmed by how many inserts there was in this past weeks newspaper.  Oh well...  Not a very exciting post, but I had to write... I had an itch.

Miss Bentley is Daydreaming of time with Emmy or at the dog park...  Her favorite spot!

I never thought I would sound so positive on a Sunday (I love Sundays... don't get me wrong), but today was a day changing day.  Officially Crean Lutheran South High School broke ground.  The ceremony was perfect!  Over 550 people came to share in this special day and I am so proud and blessed to have been a part of this day.

Steals

I promise I won't blog every week about my coupon obsession, but it's just so fun!  So, I'll just do it every once in a while.  


But before the steals... A little about our week and what we're up to now.  Brett and I are both busy again coaching.... I'm  the assistant coach for girls and boys tennis along with helping out with softball.  We have tennis practice in the mornings and softball in the afternoon.  Brett is also helping with softball, but is ready for spring football. 


Other exciting news of the week... I will be subbing FULL TIME starting at the end of March.  PTL (Praise The LORD)!  I can't wait to have to go to Crean everyday.  God is Good.... ALL THE TIME!

I ran across this on another blog and thought it was adorable.... So every Friday this lady post a picture of something that she can see God's fingerprints.

Q&A with LA...

How do I Coupon?  

This a common question for me since I first posted my new obsession.....  I have some answers....

As much as I would love to say it's all me.... I find all the deals and I just know how to use my coupons right... it's not.  First of all I don't even get the newspaper... I have an amazing mother and aunt that save me their coupon inserts.  (Although, I'm thinking of buying the Sunday paper).  Secondly, online there are several different sights you can print coupons off.

Some other resources I heart are blogs.  Blogs have become one of my favorite things lately.  Blogs are how I find my deals.... they do the work.... all I have to do is hunt down the coupon.  Some of my favorite blogs:

Other things to remember... some stores take two or more coupons for one item.... example: Target.  You can get Target coupons at Target--Click here on top of using a Target coupon you can use a manufacturer coupon. 

  

Exhibit A:   Bought today at Target.... Guess how much I paid... (remember I live in CA now... things are a little bit more, but not too much).  1 Multi-purpose cleaner (which I desperately needed) and 8 light bulbs....

(I tried to take a picture of my receipt, but didn't work all my new savings... maybe save up for a new camera. )

How did I do it.... Well I found the deal on Money Saving Mom (and other blogs)  than I found my coupons and went shopping.  I used 3 Target coupons and 2 manufacturer coupons.  

So while I still wish it was all me.... I must give credit where credit is due.

Here is a look into the Lakers/Nuggets game we went to yesterday.  The Nuggets played so well and led the whole game until.... the 4th quarter.   Win or lose we still had a great time... and got 4 free tacos because the Lakers did win... we always look at the bright side :)
